Sandra J. Carter’s practice includes handling litigation matters in state and federal court, assisting clients with probate administration, probate litigation, mineral title examination, due diligence review for the acquisition and/or divestiture of leasehold and mineral properties, as well as drafting agreements and title curative instruments.  Sandra brings a commonsense business-minded approach to helping clients while utilizing her broad knowledgebase of real estate, mineral interests, intellectual property, and the oil and gas industry to provide practical solutions and advice to clients.

Prior to starting her legal career, Sandra provided land services for the oil and gas industry, starting her career as an independent landman and as a land and title services broker. Sandra then served as an in-house division order analyst for a mid-sized exploration and production company, and later as an in-house landman for a small independent operator.  Sandra’s oil and gas industry experience includes field title work, lease and contract negotiations, project management, and acquisition/divestiture due diligence.

Sandra earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Idaho and her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law. She is licensed to practice law in Colorado.

When not assisting her legal clients, Sandra enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage children.
